Our ride from Tobermory to Manitoulin

Last week we arrived home from our trip from Thunder Bay to Mount Brydges, near London. This trip included going to the Stratford Festival to see “The Music Man”, and visiting friends in Guelph and family in London.

We have taken the ferry before, and this time it was especially enjoyable, as we met 6 Brits who had taken a joint pact to swim in all the Great Lakes. We warned them about Lake Superior’s temperature but they weren’t deterred by it.

Actually, we got bold and swam in Pancake Bay on the way home. Skinny-dipped because the mile-long beautiful sand beach was empty of people.

The two-hour ferry ride was quite cheap and was a high lite again of our vacation. We recommend it (it’s huge! Ocean size).
