A study published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, shows that there is an association between male-pattern baldness and aggressive prostate cancer. It is not a cause an effect, however. Because the two are often seen together, what this study may do is (1) help estimate a risk for men who are bald, and (2) create a conversation between men and their physicians which encourages screening.
